SERVED 120 CHILDREN WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES AND 50 VOLUNTEERS IN 1 SUMMER CAMPING OPPORTUNITY IN SOUTH CAROLINA IN 2022. ATTENDANCE ALLOWED THESE CHILDREN TO ENJOY A SUMMER CAMP IN A MEDICALLY SAFE ENVIRONMENT WHILE BUILDING THEIR KNOWLEDGE, COMFORT, AND INDEPENDENCE WITH DIABETES MANAGEMENT. APPROXIMATELY 70% OF CAMPERS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS TO ATTEND. THE SCHOOL SUPPORT PROGRAM CONTINUED TO PROVIDE DIABETES EDUCATION TO SCHOOL NURSES THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH MID-CAROLINA AHEC WITH ONLINE DIABETES TECHNOLOGY CONTINUING EDUCATION. AN IN-PERSON EDUCATIONAL SESSION WAS MAINTAINED WITH SCHOOL NURSES IN LANCASTER COUNTY AND KERSHAW COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA.
