REHABILITATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICE NMPHI IS LAYING THE FOUNDATION FOR A STRONG NETWORK OF IMMIGRANT RUN NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO BE ABLE TO WORK TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD HEALTH OF ALL RESIDENTS. OUR MOTTO FOR 2019 IS GOOD HEALTH FOR ALL. THIS MOTO REFLECTS OUR VALUES AND OUR COMMITMENT TO ALL OF THE COMMUNITIES OF COLOR IN THE TWIN CITIES. WE LIKEN OUR WORK TO DOCTORS WHO GIVE FLU SHOTS, SO WE ARE TRYING TO AFFECT A LEVEL OF HERD IMMUNITY WHEREBY ENOUGH IMMIGRANTS KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT EVERY TOPIC TO SERVE AS A CRITICAL MASS OF SHARED KNOWLEDGE AS WELL AS SHARED VALUES AND IN MANY CASES, SHARED EXPERIENCES THAT END UP PROTECTING EVERYONE IN THE COMMUNITY.
TARGETED CASE MANAGEMENT SPENDS UP TO THREE HOURS PER WEEK PER CLIENT TO MAKE CONNECTIONS AND COORDINATE SERVICE PROVIDERS. ASSISTS WITH APPLICATIONS FOR BENEFITS. CONNECTS COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITH APPROPRIATE HELP. NEW MAINER PUBLIC HEALTH INITIATIVE HAVE ADDED FEW NEW PROGRAMS. WE OFFERED WOMENS HEALTH, MENS HEALTH, ADOLESCENTS HEALTH, ORAL HEALTH EDUCATION, THRIVE, AUTISM AWARENESS, NEW MAINERS WELLNESS PROGRAMS, COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS. WE ALSO OFFER PROGRAMS, WHICH WE COLLABORATED WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS. NAVIGATING HEALTHCARE STUDY FOR NE MAINERS YOUTH, PIPLELINE TO CREATE FUTURE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS.
