EQUINE-FACILITATED PSYCHOTHERAPY {EFP} -- A FORM OF EXPERIENTIAL THERAPY THAT INCLUDES HORSES, ANDPROVIDES CLIENTS WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO ENHANCE SELF-AWARENESS AND RE-PATTERN MALADAPTIVE BEHAVIORS,FEELINGS AND ATTITUDES. EFP HAS PROVEN BENEFICIAL FOR THOSE MANAGING SYMPTOMS OF DEPRESSION, ANXIETY,PTSD AND AUTISM; AND THOSE AFFECTED BY TRAUMA, ABUSE OR CHRONIC ILLNESS. EFP {EQUINE-FACILITATEDPSYCHOTHERAPY} IS OFFERED BY LICENSED AND/OR CERTIFIED PROFESSIONALS, AS WELL AS PATH INTL. CERTIFIEDEQUINE SPECIALISTS.EQUINE-ASSISTED LEARNING {EAL} -- AN EXPERIENTIAL APPROACH THAT PROMOTES THE DEVELOPMENT OF LIFE SKILLSFOR EDUCATIONAL, PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL GOALS THROUGH EQUINE-ASSISTED ACTIVITIES. IN AN EAL SETTING,THE EXPERIENTIAL APPROACH INTEGRATES EQUINE-HUMAN INTERACTION THAT IS GUIDED BY A PLANNED LEARNINGEXPERIENCE TO MEET THE IDENTIFIED GOALS OR DESIRES OF THE PARTICIPANT(S). EAL SESSIONS MAY BE INDIVIDUALOR GROUP BASED, BUT THE STATED GOALS ARE NOT CLINICALLY DRIVEN. AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF EAL WOULD BE ACORPORATE WORKSHOP WHERE THE GOALS INVOLVE GROUP DYNAMICS RATHER THAN THE MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS OF THEINDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANTS. EAL IS OFFERED BY CREDENTIALED EDUCATORS AND PATH INTL. CERTIFIED EQUINESPECIALISTS.THERAPEUTIC HORSEMANSHIP {TH} -- A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO DEVELOPING A RELATIONSHIP WITH HORSES, OUR THERAPEUTIC HORSEMANSHIP PROGRAM COMBINES ELEMENTS OF EQUINE-ASSISTED LEARNING {GROUNDWORK} AND THERAPEUTIC RIDING {MOUNTED}. PARTICIPANTS BENEFIT FROM AN INNOVATIVE CURRICULUM WHICH INCLUDES COMMUNICATION SKILLS; DAILY HORSE CARE, GROOMING, TACKING AND FOUNDATIONAL VAULTING AND RIDING SKILLS. CERTIFIEDTHERAPEUTIC RIDING INSTRUCTORS.COMPASS -- AN EQUINE FACILITATED LEARNING INTERVENTION FOR YOUTH, DESIGNED TO TARGET SKILLS OF SELF-REGULATION,COMMUNICATION, SELF-ADVOCACY, EMPATHY, RESPONSIBILITY AND SELF-AWARENESS. IN COLLABORATION WITH TRIPLEPLAY FARM, COMPASS SEEKS TO SERVE THOSE YOUTH WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED "AT RISK", CREATING A PATH TOPOSITIVE BEHAVIOR THROUGH ADOLESCENCE AND EARLY ADULTHOOD.THE DISCOVERY TRAIL -- AN EQUINE-ACCESSIBLE, MULTI-DIMENSIONAL OUTDOOR SENSORY EXPERIENCE INTENDED FOR THERAPEUTIC AND EDUCATIONAL USE. THE MISSION IS TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT FOR GUESTS OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES TO:EXPERIENCE THE OUTDOORS IN A SAFE AND DELIGHTFUL WAY; REACH FOR AND ACHIEVE THERAPEUTIC AND EDUCATIONALGOALS; AND HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN FROM, AND DEVELOP A RELATIONSHIP WITH HORSES. NATURE-BASEDWELLNESS RETREATS AND EDUCATIONAL CLASSES ALSO HOSTED HERE.LIFECYCLE OF THE HORSE -- AN ONGOING EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT FULLY EXPLORES THE LIFECYCLE OF THE HORSE FROM BREEDING TO BIRTH, WEANING TO HANDLING, EARLY TRAINING, "FIRST JOB," COMPETITIVE CAREERS, CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP, INJURIES,RETIREMENT AND DEATH.
