EDUCATION THE SHADE SCHOOL IS SITUATED ON 10.5 ACRES OF LAND IN SHINYANGA, TANZANIA ANDSUPPORTS STUDENTS FROM OUR LOCAL AREA ENROLLED IN TWO CLASSES, A BABY CLASS AND A MIDDLECLASS. AGED FROM THREE TO FOUR YEARS, STUDENTS ATTEND A HALF-DAY OF SCHOOL WHERE THEY ARETAUGHT IN ENGLISH, EAT BREAKFAST, GET A HEALTHY AFTERNOON SNACK, AND TAKE A MUCH-NEEDED NAP.IN ADDITION TO THE CORE SUBJECTS OF ENGLISH, MATH, AND SCIENCE, STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN MUSIC,ART, BIBLE, AND SPORTS CLASSES AS WELL. SHADE SCHOOL IS KEY TO ACTUALIZATING OF THE VISION GODGAVE FOR HOLISTIC CARE TO VULNERABLE CHILDREN. WE BELIEVE THAT EDUCATION IS FOUNDATIONAL TOPOVERTY ALLEVIATION AND SETTING CHILDREN ON A PATH TOWARDS THEIR DESTINIES. OUR PLAN CONTINUESTO FOCUS ON GROWING THE SCHOOL YEAR AFTER YEAR, CONTINUING TO ADD NEW TEACHERS AND CLASSESUNTIL WE HAVE A COMPLETE PRIMARY SCHOOL. SHADE SCHOOL HAS RECEIVED PRIMARY SCHOOLREGISTRATION AND WILL BEGIN WELCOMING STUDENTS BEYOND THE PRESCHOOL AGE.ADVOCACY-OUR TEAM IN TANZANIA CONTINUES TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY PROGRAMS TO AID IN THEUNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE OF PEOPLE WITH ALBINISM. THE COMMUNITY CLUB WAS LAUNCHEDIN 2021 TO EMPOWER YOUTH FROM THE VILLAGE AND SUPPORT THE STUDENT TRANSITIONAL PROGRAM.OUTREACH - WE BELIEVE THAT GOD HAS CALLED US TO BE A LIGHT IN OUR COMMUNITY. THE MISSIONOF SHADE WILL ONLY GO FORTH WHEN OUR COMMUNITY IS EMPOWERED TO JOIN IN TO LOVE ITS OWNVULNERABLE CHILDREN AND CHILDREN WITH ALBINISM. SHADE HAS A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO MINISTRY.THIS MEANS THAT LOVE LOOKS LIKE MINISTERING TO THE PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, RELATIONAL, AND SPIRITUALNEEDS OF PEOPLE. COMMUNITY OUTREACH DOES JUST THAT. A FEW OF OUR INITIATIVES INCLUDE:A COMMUNITY CLUB FOR YOUTH TO GATHER BI-WEEKLY. THEY SUCCESSFULLY PLANTED A COMMUNITYGARDEN, ARE ENCOURAGED IN THE LORD, AND ARE LEARNING THE TRUTHS ABOUT ALBINISM. SEMINARS AREHELD REGULARLY IN JAMUKAYA HALL. BIBLE DISTRIBUTION IS ONGOING TO FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY SOTHAT THEY CAN READ THE WORD OF GOD IN THEIR HOMES. RESOURCES FOR CHILDREN WITH ALBINISMWHO ARE LIVING AT THE LOCAL CENTER ARE PROVIDED INCLUDING CLOTHING, MEDICAL SUPPLIES, FOOD ANDOTHER ESSENTIALS.
