RISE SERVES TO CLOSE THE EDUCATION AND OPPORTUNITY GAPS THAT EXIST BETWEEN EAST PALO ALTO AND ITS NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES. WE EMPOWER OUR YOUTH TO CREATE THEIR OWN VISION FOR THE FUTURE AND FOSTER THEIR SELF-CONFIDENCE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. IT IS OUR INTENTION THAT STUDENTS LEAVE RISE FEELING PROUD OF THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND EAGER TO INSPIRE FUTURE GENERATIONS TO MAKE A LASTING IMPACT ON THEIR COMMUNITY.

WE WERE BACK IN PERSON WITH THE STARTING SCHOOL YEAR IN FALL OF 2021. WE RAN OUR NORMAL MONDAY-THURSDAY PROGRAM FOR OUR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS AND MONDAYS FOR OUR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ALONG WITH REGULAR CHECK-INS WITH THEM AS THEIR SCHEDULES ALLOWED. WE ALSO RESUMED OUR MENTORSHIP PROGRAM WE HAVE WITH EASTSIDE PREP HIGH SCHOOL. OUR PROGRAM CONSISTS OF EXTENSIVE SUPPORT IN ALL AREAS OF CHILD DEVELOPMENT INCLUDING ACADEMIC SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING AS WELL AS NUTRITION ENRICHMENT AND OTHER EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES.
THE LITTLE BLUE HOUSE COLLABORATIVE IS MADE UP OF SEVERAL ORGANIZATIONS SERVING FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN 0-5 IN EAST PALO ALTO AND EAST MENLO PARK. RISE IS THE ACTING MANAGER OF THE COLLABORATIVE OVERSEEING BI-MONTHLY MEETINGS AND OFFERING SPACE AT THE LITTLE BLUE HOUSE FOR PARTNERS TO USE TO BRING THEIR SERVICES TO FAMILIES ACTING AS A SATELLITE OFFICE FOR THEIR ORGANIZATION. THE LITTLE BLUE HOUSE IS BOTH A PHYSICAL HOUSE THAT RISE WILL BE UTILIZING FOR OUR FUTURE PROGRAMS.
