Part 3
RYP HOSTS MONTHLY MIXES THAT ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AT VARIOUS BUSINESSES/ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT RUTLAND COUNTY. THESE EVENTS PROVIDE NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEW AND CURRENT YOUNG PROFESSIONALS THROUGHOUT RUTLAND COUNTY WHILE ALSO BECOMING MORE FAMILIARIZED WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES/ORGANIZATIONS. AT THE START OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN MARCH 2020, RYP QUICKLY SHIFTED THEIR MONTHLY MIXES TO A MONTHLY VIRTUAL MEET-UP WITH VARIOUS SPEAKERS/ACTIVITIES TO CONTINUE NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS AND OFFER NEW RESOURCES AVAILABLE. RYP PLANNED TO HOST ITS 4TH ANNUAL GALA IN APRIL 2020 IN CELEBRATION OF OUR MEMBERS, SUPPORTERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND COMMUNITY FOR A BEAUTIFUL EVENING OF GREAT FOOD, DRINKS, MUSIC, AND DANCING. HOWEVER, DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THAT EVENT WAS POSTPONED AND HOPES TO TAKE PLACE ON A SMALLER SCALE IN 2021. THE EVENT ALSO HONORS A BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AND YOUNG PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR. RYP TYPICALLY HOSTS SEVERAL LET'S DISH RECRUITING EVENTS EVERY YEAR. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THESE EVENTS WERE LIMITED BUT STILL CONDUCTED ON A SMALLER, SOCIALLY DISTANT SCALE. THIS IS A PROGRAM TO WELCOME NEW AND POTENTIAL RESIDENTS TO RUTLAND AND ANSWER QUESTIONS THEY HAVE ABOUT THE AREA. EMPLOYERS CALL ON RYP MEMBERS TO TAKE INTERVIEWING CANDIDATES ON TOURS OR OUT FOR A MEAL TO HELP THEM GET A SENSE OF THE REGION AS PART OF THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS.
