THE BATTALION PROVIDES LEARNING AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG ADULTS IN A CHRISTIAN-VALUES-BASED ENVIRONMENT THROUGH MUSICAL TOURING AND COMPETITION EXPERIENCES.

FY 2022 WAS OUR DEBUT AT DRUM CORPS INTERNATIONAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA. WE EXPANDED OUR NATIONAL TOUR TO INCLUDE TOUR STOPS IN THE MIDWEST WHILE ALSO STILL TOURING AND SERVING STUDENTS IN OUR REGION. WE HAD OUR LARGEST CROWD AT DRUMS ALONG THE WASATCH, THE SHOW WE HOST, WITH OVER 2,000 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE. WE ALSO RECEIVED OUR HIGHEST COMPETITIVE SCORE TO DATE EARNING A 75.6 AND ADVANCING IN PLACEMENT EACH NIGHT OF COMPETITION DURING FINALS WEEK. WE PROVIDED 105 STUDENTS WITH AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE WHILE CONTINUING TO STABILIZE OUR ORGANIZATION AFTER COVID-19 DISRUPTIONS IN 2020 AND 2021. THESE STUDENTS REPRESENTED 11 DIFFERENT STATES. THROUGHOUT OUR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING THIS YEAR, WE WERE ABLE TO SERVE 375 STUDENTS. WE ARE INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL FOR THE SUPPORT AND NUMEROUS HOURS PROVIDED BY ADMINISTRATORS, VOLUNTEERS, DONORS, AND EDUCATIONAL STAFF WHICH MADE THIS POSSIBLE AND HELPED OUR ORGANIZATION ACCOMPLISH A GOAL THAT WAS SET FROM THE FOUNDING.
