THE HIVE COMMUNITY CIRCLE IS A SURVIVOR-LED, SURVIVOR-DRIVEN SUPPORT ORGANIZATION HELPING WOMEN AND GIRLS IN SOUTH CAROLINA OVERCOME THE TRAUMA OF SEXUAL ASSAULT, INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLANCE, AND STALKING.

SURVIVOR SUPPORT: THE HIVES SURVIVORS SUPPORT SERVICES OVERALL BENEFITED 79 SURVIVORS WITH PEER ADVOCACY, CASE MANAGEMENT, SAFETY PLANNING, AND COUNSELING. THE HIVE PROVIDED PEER ADVOCACY TO 68 SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, AND STALKING. THE HIVES PEER SUPPORT PROGRAM MANAGER PROVIDED COUNSELING SERVICES TO 25 SURVIVORS. THE HIVE HELD EIGHT HEALING CIRCLES; FOUR QUEENS GATHER AND FOUR BLOOM COHORTS. THE HIVE HEALING CIRCLES BENEFITED 48 ADULT WOMEN SURVIVORS, AND 48 GIRLS SURVIVORS, AND SECONDARY SURVIVORS. THE HIVE ALSO SUPPORTED 32 SURVIVORS WITH EMERGENCY AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE (EEJ). WITHIN THE SUPPORT GIVEN BY EEJ, NINE SURVIVORS RECEIVED A TOTAL OF 40 NIGHTS OF HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS; THE REMAINING REQUESTS WERE FULFILLED FOR CHILDCARE, CLOTHING, GROCERIES, TRANSPORTATION, RELOCATION, TRANSITIONAL HOUSING, AND UTILITIES.

THE HIVE HOSTED AND CO-HOSTED 13 BUZZPAK TRAININGS, IMPACTING 358 TEENS. THE HIVE ALSO HOSTED 16 REQUESTED TRAININGS BENEFITING 367 COMMUNITY MEMBERS. THE TOPICS OF THE TRAININGS ENCOMPASSED THE FOLLOWING: HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS, BLACK INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF COLOR (BIPOC) TRAUMA INFORMED, INTERPERSONAL VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT 101, SEXUAL HARASSMENT, HUMAN TRAFFICKING, ANTI-OPPRESSION ADVOCACY AND PREVENTION, ETC.
