KEY EXAMPLES OF ALLIANCE ACHIEVEMENTS, DIRECTLY THROUGH ADVOCACY OF ALLIANCE OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS OR INDIRECTLY VIA ITS RETAINED LAWYERS, LOBBYISTS, AND LAND USE/ENVIRONMENTAL EXPERTS, INCLUDE: (1) WORKING WITH LOS ANGELES CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT 5, THE LOS ANGELES PLANNING DEPARTMENT, AND COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS TO OBTAIN A SPECIAL BEL-AIR OVERLAY ZONE WITH TAILORED WORK RULES AND LIMITATIONS ON HOME DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS; (2) AN INTERIM CONTROL ORDINANCE LIMITING EARTH EXPORT FOR EACH NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECT IN BEL AIR TO 6,000 CUBIC YARDS (VIS A VIS NO LIMITS BEFORE); (3) FOCUS BY THE LA DEPT.
