THE ALLIANCE USES CLAIMS DATA FROM HEALTH PLANS, SELF-INSURED EMPLOYERS AND MEDICAID TO MEASURE AND REPORT ON THE VARIATION AND THE PREVALENCE OF EFFECTIVE, EVIDENCE-BASED CARE FOR 4 MILLION STATE OF WASHINGTON RESIDENTS IN ORDER TO PROMOTE HIGHER VALUE HEALTH CARE.


THE ALLIANCE COLLABORATES WITH STATE AGENCIES AND OTHER HEALTH-RELATED ORGANIZATIONS TO ADVANCE HEALTH CARE TRANSFORMATION IN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, E.G., (1) PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTING HEALTH CARE IMPROVEMENT THROUGH PEER-TO-PEER COLLABORATION AND EDUCATION, (2) IMPROVING THE ALLIANCE ALL PAYERS' CLAIMS DATABASE REPORTING ON HEALTH CARE QUALITY AND COST, AND/OR (3) WORKING WITH MEMBERS TO DRIVE HEALTHCARE CHANGE.
