TO ADVANCE THE PROFESSION TO IMPROVE HEALTH OUTCOMES FOR OUR COMMUNITY. OUR ACTIVITIES AIM TO HAVE A HIGHLY SKILLED INTERPRETERS COMMUNITY THAT IS ECONOMICALLY SUCCESSFUL AND VALUED AS AN INTEGRAL MEMBER OF THE HEALTH CARE TEAM. IN COLLABORATION WITH HOSPITALS, CCOS, AGENCIES, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND THE STATE, IT HAS IMPROVED LANGUAGE ACCESS THROUGH ON LINE LOW-COST TRAINING, SCHOLARSHIPS, JOB FAIRS, CONFERENCES, ADVOCACY, AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES.

PROVIDED INTAKE AND REFERRAL SERVICES FOR ORGANIZATIONS IN NEED OF HEALTH CARE INTERPRETING SERVICES; AND PROVIDED REFERRAL SERVICES TO THOSE IN NEED OF FURTHER EDUCATIONAL SERVICES.


OFFERED A LOW COST TRAINING PROGRAM THAT MEETS THE OREGON HEALTH AUTHORITY'S 60 HOUR REQUIREMENT FOR GETTING CERTIFIED OR QUALIFIED AS A HEALTH CARE INTERPRETER.
