SINCE 1903 THE NEBRASKA MASONIC HOME, IN PLATTSMOUTH, HAS BEEN TAKING CARE OF NEBRASKA MASONS, THEIR WIVES, WIDOWS, MOTHERS, SISTERS AND DAUGHTERS. THE HOME'S ADMISSION CRITERIA CHANGED IN OCTOBER OF 2006, ALLOWING FOR ADMISSION OF GRANDMOTHERS, GRANDDAUGHTERS AS WELL AS OUT-OF-STATE MASONS AND THEIR ELIGIBLE FEMALE RELATIVES. THE COMBINATION OF A CARING STAFF AND CLEAN, ATTRACTIVE FACILITIES ENABLES THE NEBRASKA MASONIC HOME TO OFFER THE BEST IN SERVICES AND COMFORT FOR THE RESIDENTS. MEALTIME IS A SPECIAL TIME FOR THE RESIDENTS. RESIDENTS ARE SERVED DELICIOUS, WELL BALANCED MEALS, IN A FRIENDLY HOME-LIKE ATMOSPHERE. THE BEAUTIFUL DINING ROOM OFFERS A RELAXING ENVIRONMENT WHERE RESIDENTS CAN ENJOY THE NUTRITIOUS, TASTY FOOD PREPARED AND SERVED BY THE DIETARY STAFF. SPACIOUS LOUNGES ARE LOCATED THROUGHOUT THE HOME, OFFERING THE PERFECT SETTING FOR CONVERSATION, READING, WATCHING TV, PLAYING BILLIARDS OR JUST WATCHING THE BIRDS IN THE AVIARY. A CRAFT ROOM, EXERCISE ROOM, THREE FENCED-IN COURTYARDS, THREE BEAUTIFUL SUN ROOMS, LAUNDRY ROOM, THREE SELF-SERVE ELEVATORS AND HAIR SALON ARE AVAILABLE. A 15 PASSENGER BUS ACCOMMODATING WHEELCHAIRS IS USED FOR RESIDENT OUTINGS.
