THE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL RODEO ASSOCIATION, ANNUALLY, PRODUCES 2 NATIONAL FINALS RODEOS. CONTESTANTS FOR THESE RODEOS ARE COMPRISED OF STATE/PROVINCE CHAMPIONS, CONSISTING OF THE TOP FOUR WINNERS IN EACH EVENT. THIS NORMALLY BOAST 1,650 CONTESTANTS FOR OUR HIGH SCHOOL FINALS AND 1,100 CONTESTANTS FOR OUR JUNIOR HIGH FINALS. THE NHSRA AWARDS THOUSANDS OF AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS AT THE STATE/PROVINCIAL AND NATIONAL LEVEL. IN 2022, THE ASSOCIATION AS A WHOLE, AWARDED 1.9 MILLION IN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS, TRADE SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS, AND AWARDS TO JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE NHSRA WORKS TIRELESSLY TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS THAT ARE GIVEN EACH YEAR.
THE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL RODEO ASSOCIATION CONSISTS OF 14,000-PLUS MEMBERS, MADE UP FROM 44 STATES, 5 PROVINCES OF CANADA, AUSTRALIA, MEXICO, AND NEW ZEALAND. OUR MEMBERSHIP BASE IS UNIQUE AS MEMBERS GRADUATE ANNUALLY AND NEW MEMBERS ARE OBTAINED AS THEY MOVE TO THE ELIGIBLE CLASS.
THE NHSRA TIMES MAGAZINE IS THE OFFICIAL PUBLICATION OF THE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL RODEO ASSOCIATION. PRINTED 11 TIMES A YEAR (MONTHLY, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF AUGUST), IT OFFERS FEATURE STORIES ON NHSRA MEMBERS, DETAILS ON NHSRA PROGRAMS AND OTHER INFORMATION THAT IS IMPORTANT TO ASSOCIATION MEMBERS.
