URBAN BLOOMS' MISSION IS TO CREATE MORE BEAUTIFUL, SUSTAINABLE, AND HEALTHIER COMMUNITIES. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH PROJECTS THAT BOTH IMPROVE COMMUNITIES AESTHETICALLY AND EMPOWER MEMBERS OF THAT COMMUNITY WITH SUSTAINABILITY EDUCATION, PRIMARILY THROUGH OUR LIVING WALL (VERTICAL GARDEN) INSTALLATIONS. THESE PROJECTS INSPIRE ONLOOKERS AND STRETCH THE IMAGINATION THROUGH THE ELEGANT SYMBIOSIS OF NATURE, ART, AND TECHNOLOGY.

IN 2020 URBAN BLOOMS CONTINUED OUR GROW CINCINNATI PROGRAM, BUILDING LARGE PUBLIC LIVING WALLS IN THE HEARTS OF NEIGHBORHOODS THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF CINCINNATI. WITH GENEROUS SUPPORT FROM THE GREATER CINCINNATI FOUNDATION, URBAN BLOOMS IS ABLE TO PROVIDE MATCHING FUNDS TO COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH A COMPETITIVE ONLINE APPLICATION. THIS PROVIDES THE CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC LIVING WORKS OF ART THAT CREATE MORE SUSTAINABLE AND VIBRANT NEIGHBORHOODS, AT A PRICE THAT IS AFFORDABLE. IN 2020 WE CONTINUED OUR WORK WITH THE WALNUT HILLS REDEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION FOR A PUBLIC LIVING WALL AS A PART OF THE GROW PROGRAM. DUE TO URBAN BLOOMS' FINANCIAL COMMITMENT TO THIS PROJECT, WALNUT HILLS WAS ABLE TO LEVERAGE FUNDING SECURED TO BRING ARTWORKS INTO THIS PROJECT AND CREATE A ONE-OF-A-KIND LIVING MURAL INSTALLATION. WE ARE CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF DESIGNING AND PLANNING THE INSTALLATION WITH THE NEIGHBORHOOD, THIS PROCESS INCLUDES A SERIES OF COMMUNITY INPUT SESSIONS. URBAN BLOOMS HAS BUILT OVER 75 LIVING WALLS AROUND THE MIDWEST TO BRING NATURE INTO WORKING AND RECREATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS, NOT ONLY CREATING MORE BEAUTIFUL AND HEALTHY SPACES, BUT ALSO MORE SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES.
