PROVIDING A PLACE FOR EDUCATION, COLLABORATION AND INNOVATION BY OFFERING ACCESS TO TOOLS AND MACHINES FOR PROJECT PROTOTYPING AND BUILDING AND ACCESS TO A CATALOG OF OVER 100 COURSES IN ART, ENGINEERING, CRAFT, DESIGN AND FABRICATION.

TEACHING CLASSES FOR THE COMMUNITY IN DIVERSE AREAS OF TECHNOLOGY AND ART. OVER 100 COURSES IN 2D/3D DESIGN, FABRICATION, WELDING, 3D PRINTING, LASER CUTTING, ARTS AND CRAFTS INCLUDING JEWELRY MAKING, WOODWORKING AND MORE. EDUCATION PROGRAM: TXRX LABS STAYED ACTIVE AND ENGAGED WITH LOCAL STUDENTS, ESPECIALLY STUDENTS AND TEACHERS FROM THE HOUSTON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT (HISD). TXRX LABS CONTINUED TO HOST ON-SITE WORKSHOPS FOR HISD AND NON-HISD STUDENTS. TXRX LABS CONTINUED THE PARTNERSHIP WITH HARRIS COUNTY JUVENILE PROBATION (HCJPD), OFFERING ON-SITE TRAINING FOR HCJPD YOUTH ON PROBATION AND ABLE TO TRAVEL TO TXRX LABS. WE ALSO OFFER TRAINING AT THE HCJPD YOUTH VILLAGE FACILITY IN A BREADTH OF SKILLS - CARPENTRY, CAD, 3D PRINTING, CNC LASER CUTTING, AND ELECTRONICS. JOB TRAINING PROGRAM: TXRX LABS FOCUSED ON RUNNING THE MODERN MANUFACTURING PROGRAM WHICH IS AN ENTRY-LEVEL TRAINING PROGRAM DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE SKILLED STUDENTS TO THE VARIOUS MODALITIES OF TECHNOLOGY-DRIVEN MANUFACTURING. ALONG THE WAY, WE HOPE TO HELP OUR TRAINEES DISCOVER THEIR HIDDEN TALENTS AND PASSIONS. THE TRAINEES WILL EXPLORE ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING AND 3D PRINTING, COMPUTER-AIDED DRAFTING (CAD) AND CNC MACHINING, METROLOGY AND QUALITY INSPECTION, ELECTRONICS ASSEMBLY AND TESTING, AND METAL SHOP WELDING SKILLS.


MEMBERSHIP: FACILITY USAGE FOR MEMBERS INCLUDES TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE CREATION OF PERSONAL PROJECTS AND PROTOTYPES.
