ANIMAL RESCUE AND PROVISION OF PERMANENT HOUSING - PERMANENT HOUSING AND CARE WAS PROVIDED TO MORE THAN 250 RESCUED ANIMALS INCLUDING COWS, PIGS, GOATS, SHEEP, TURKEYS, DUCKS, GEESE, QUAIL, AND CHICKENS. ALMOST 1,500 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER TIME CONTRIBUTED TO THIS CARE, INCLUDING 2 VISITING VOLUNTEER GROUPS OF APPROXIMATELY 10 PEOPLE EACH. THE RESCUED ANIMALS AT HAPPY HEN ANIMAL SANCTUARY WERE RESCUED FROM SEVERE NEGLECT AND ABUSE. HERE THEY RECEIVED FREEDOM, REGULAR VETERINARY CARE, A CLEAN BEAUTIFUL ENVIRONMENT, FRESH AIR AND SUNSHINE, COMPANIONSHIP, AND KINDNESS FROM OUR STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS.
VETERINARY CARE FOR RESCUED ANIMALS AND PERMANENT RESIDENTS - DR. SHERSTIN ROSENBERG, OUR UNPAID, FULL-TIME STAFF VETERINARIAN, PROVIDED VETERINARY CARE FOR MORE THAN 250 ANIMALS.
MORE THAN 200 PEOPLE VISITED THE SANCTUARY FOR TOURS AND EVENTS, AND WERE EDUCATED IN THE PLIGHT OF FARMED ANIMALS TODAY. MORE THAN 100,000 PEOPLE WERE REACHED VIA SOCIAL MEDIA.
