ON-RAMPS STEM INTERN PROGRAM PROVIDES SUMMER TECHNOLOGY INTERNSHIPS AND TRAINING TO STUDENTS IN WASHINGTON, DC. THE ORGANIZATION CURRENTLY WORK WITH ADMINISTRATION AND STAFF AT SEVEN WASHINGTON DC PUBLIC AND PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOLS, INCLUDING: ANACOSTIA, CARDOZO, DUNBAR, FRIENDSHIP COLLEGIATE ACADEMY, HD WOODSON, MCKINLEY TECHNOLOGY, PHELPS ARCHITECTURE, CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING, AND WILSON HIGH SCHOOL TO RECRUIT DC STUDENTS AND ALUMNI INTERESTED IN PURSUING TECHNOLOGY RELATED CAREERS. STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN PRE-INTERNSHIP TRAININGS SUCH AS RESUME BUILDING, INTERVIEW PREPARATION, COMMUNICATION SKILLS. STUDENTS INTERVIEW AND ARE MATCHED WITH PARTNERING COMPANIES BASED ON THEIR CURRENT SKILLS AND CAREERS INTERESTS.
