Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
THE FIVEFOLD RESTORATION HOUSE OPERATES UNDER TWO PREVAILING BELIEFS. WE BELIEVE THAT HEALING AND RECOVERY FROM THE TRAUMA OF SOCIAL DISPLACEMENT HAPPENS IN COMMUNITY. WE BELIEVE EVERYONE DESERVES A HOME. BY HOME WE MEAN SOMETHING MORE THAN A HOUSE. A HOUSE IS A BUILDING; A HOME IS A DWELLING PLACE. A HOUSE IS MADE OF WOOD OR BRICK OR MUD OR THATCH; A HOME, IS MADE OF STORIES AND RELATIONSHIPS AND MEMORIES. HOUSES CAN BE BOUGHT AND SOLD, BUT HOME IS NEVER UP FOR SALE. HOME IS A BOUNDED PLACE THAT PROVIDES BOTH DEFINITION AND OPENNESS, STRUCTURE AND FLEXIBILITY. IT IS A PLACE AND SPACE, A WEB OF STORIES AND SYMBOLS AND RITUALS AND RELATIONSHIPS WHERE A COMMON LIFE IS CULTIVATED AND HUMAN FLOURISHING HAPPENS. TO US, HOME IS A PLACE OF INHABITATION WHERE LIFE IS ORIENTED TOWARD A LIFE-GIVING NARRATIVE THAT ALLOWS TRAUMAS TO BEGIN TO HEAL AND THAT MAKES RESTORATION POSSIBLE IN EVERY HUMAN DIMENSION - SOCIALLY, EMOTIONALLY, COGNITIVELY, SPIRITUALLY, AND PHYSICALLY. WHEN IT COMES TO HOUSING, THEREFORE, WE CANNOT CONTINUE TO WORK IN A TRADITIONAL WAY WITH A TRADITIONAL UNDERSTANDING. INSTEAD, WE MUST HELP OUR SOCIALLY DISPLACED NEIGHBORS FIND NOT ONLY A HOUSE, BUT ALSO A WEB OF HOSPITABLE RELATIONSHIPS THAT CAN RESTORE THEM SOCIALLY, PHYSICALLY, COGNITIVELY, EMOTIONALLY AND SPIRITUALLY THROUGH A SET OF PRACTICES. WE BELIEVE THAT PRACTICE SHAPES DESIRES.THE FIVEFOLD RESTORATION HOUSE WILL ADDRESS THE FIVE-FOLD REALITIES OF SOCIAL DISPLACEMENT THROUGH EVIDENCE-BASED TRAUMA-INFORMED TOOLS AND PRACTICES CARRIED OUT WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF COMMUNITY. A LOCAL CHURCH TRAINED IN 3E RESTORATION INC.'S FLOORPLAN CURRICULUM AND THE 3E RESTORATION PROCESS WILL SPONSOR EACH FIVEFOLD RESTORATION HOUSE. ADDITIONALLY, 3E RESTORATION WILL PROVIDE A PEER RECOVER SUPPORT SPECIALIST AND A CARE MANAGER WHO JOINTLY WILL DEVELOP UNIQUE HOUSING AND ACTION PLANS FOR EACH RESIDENT THAT AIM TO EQUIP AND EMPOWER THE RESIDENT TO OVERCOME THE BARRIERS HE OR SHE FACES WITH REGARD TO DEVELOPING STABLE AND SUSTAINABLE MENTAL HEALTH, PHYSICAL HEALTH, COPING BEHAVIORS, SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT, EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT, AND TRANSPORTATION.
THE RESTORATION PLACE IS PROVIDED FOR THE EXPRESS PURPOSE OF SERVING AS A TEMPORARY SHELTER WHILE STAFF WORK TOWARD LOCATING PERMANENT HOUSING AND RETURNING GUESTS TO HOLISTIC-SUFFICIENCY. AS PART OF THE REGION'S COORDINATED ENTRY AND ASSESSMENT SYSTEM, 3ERESTORATION,INC. WORKS TO ENCOURAGE, EQUIP, AND EMPOWER FAITH COMMUNITIES TO HELP TRANSITION NEIGHBORS LIVING THROUGH HOMELESSNESS FROM SOCIAL DISPLACEMENT TO HOLISTIC SUFFICIENCY. PART OF THE PROCESS IS TO ESTABLISH A LASTING WEB OF FRIENDSHIPS AND NETWORK OF SUPPORT LONG AFTER TEMPORARY RENTAL ASSISTANCE AND CASE MANAGEMENT HAS ENDED.
3E HAS WORKED TO HELP FRIENDS AND FAMILIES IN NEED DURING DIFFICULT TIMES SUCH AS OBTAIN DOCUMENTATION FOR HOMELESS TO RECEIVE HELP. HELP THOSE WITH ADDICTION. PAID FOR STORARE FEES, RENT, MOVERS, AND TEMPORARY LABORERS TO HELP HOUSE FRIENDS IN NEED. 3E PROVIDES CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO HELP THE HOMELESS BE SELF SUFFICIENT USING PHILOXENIA CURRICULM.
