Describe the Organization's Mission:

Part 3 - Line 1

THIS ORGANIZATION IS A COLLABORATIVE AGENCY PARTNERSHIP BENEFITING VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC, FAMILY AND INTERPERSONAL VIOLENCE.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

WE KNOW THAT CHILDREN ARE TOO OFTEN THE "COLLATERAL DAMAGE" OF INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE, SUFFERING SILENTLY IN THE BACKGROUND WHILE ONE PARTNER ABUSES THE OTHER. WE KNOW THAT ABUSE IS A LEARNED BEHAVIOR PASSED FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION. AND WE KNOW THAT WE WANT TO HELP BREAK THAT CYCLE OF SUFFERING AND AND FAMILY VIOLENCE. THUS, WE HIRED A FULL TIME CHILD THERAPIST TO WORK WITH CHILDREN WHO HAVE ENDURED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN THEIR HOMES.

WE OFFER A HOST OF SERVICES TO VICTIMS INCLUDING CRISIS INTERVENTION, CASE MANAGEMENT, SAFETY PLANNING, DANGER ASSESSMENTS, LEGAL SERVICES FOR THE PREPARATION OF RESTRAINING ORDER PETITIONS AND SO MUCH MORE. BECAUSE COLLABORATION IS KEY TO OUR MISSION, IF A VICTIME NEEDS A PARTICULAR SERVICE, WE WILL MAKE SURE SHE/HE GETS IT. I.E. FORENSIC EXAMS FOR NON FATAL STRANGULATION, EMERGENCY SHELTER, CHILD SUPPORT SERVICES, ETC.

IN CONCERT WITH OUR CHILD THERAPY PROGRAM, WE SUPPORT A "CATCH" (CHILDREN AND TEENS CREATING HOPE). THIS IS A YEAR-ROUND PROGRAM CHILDREN AND TEENS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 7 AND 17. IT IS LEADERSHIP AND MENTORSHIP PROGRAM CENTERED ON AN EVIDENCE AND VALUES BASED CURRICULUM TO TEACH THE YOUTH IN THE SACRAMENTO REGION TO BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES, BELIEVE IN OTHERS, AND BELIEVE IN THEIR DREAMS. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES THREE KEY CHARACTERISTICS - SUMMER CAMP, MONTHLY HOPE ACTIVITIES, AND TRAUMA THERAPY - DEDICATED TO BREAKING THE CYCLE OF VIOLENCE AND INSPIRING NEW PATHWAYS TO HOPE AND HEALING.

WE INSTITUTED A NEW PROGRAM TO HELP HUMAN TRAFFICKING VICTIMS WHO WANT OUT OF "THE LIFE" TRANSITION TO A PLACE OF SAFETY AND SELF SUFFICIENCY. WE ALSO ESTABLISHED THE ONLY 24/7 HUMAN TRAFFICKING HOTLINE IN THE REGION. 1-844-664-7233
