IN 2022, WE HELPED PASS A HIGH CAPACITY MAGAZINE BAN, INCREASED THE AGE FROM 18 TO 21 TO BUY GUNS, AND BANNED LONG GUNS IN PUBLIC. THE COALITION NOW INCLUDES GIFFORDS; EVERYTOWN; MOMS DEMAND ACTION FOR GUN SAFETY; RHODE ISLAND NOW; GUNS INTO PLOWSHARES; ONE GUN GONE; THOUGHTS, PRAYERS, ACTION; THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS; NAACP- PROVIDENCE; RHODE ISLAND COALITION AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE; AND PLANNED PARENTHOOD. ADDITIONALLY, AS SYSTEMIC RACISM IS INTERTWINED WITH GUN VIOLENCE, RICAGV HAS SUPPORTED AND CO-SPONSORED BLACK LIVES MATTER EVENTS ATTENDED BY THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE.
