FOUR GRANTS WERE PROVIDED DURING 2022. THE FIRST AND SECOND GRANTS WERE TO THE THE NEW ORLEANS POLICE AND JUSTICE FOUNDATION TO HELP SUPPORT THE NEW ORLEANS POLICE DEPARTMENT BY PROVIDING FUNDING FOR EQUIPMENT, TRAINING, AND A MOBILE FOOD TRUCK TO PROVIDE SNACKS, MEALS AND DRINKS WHILE PATROLING THE PARADE ROUTES DURING MARDI GRAS 2022. THE THIRD GRANT WAS TO THE JEFFERSON PARISH SHERIFF'S OFFICE NARCOTICS DIVISION FOR THE PURCHASE OF A DRUG-DETECTION CANINE. THE FOURTH GRANT WAS TO WYES PBS - GREATER NEW ORLEANS EDUCATIONAL TELEVISION FOUNDATION TO ASSIST WITH PBS SPECIAL - BLAINE KERN: THEY CALL HIM MR. MARDI GRAS.
