THE AWARD-WINNING MCAULIFFE MIDDLE SCHOOL CHOIR PROGRAM COMPRISES ABOUT 300 STUDENTS LED BY CHORAL DIRECTOR, MRS. SHANNON WALLACE. EACH YEAR, THE BOOSTER BOARD, PARENT VOLUNTEERS AND STUDENTS WORKED TOGETHER TO PUT ON STUDENT PERFORMANCE/SHOWS. FUNDRAISERS ARE NEEDED TO HELP OFFSET THE EXORBITANT EXPENSES FOR COSTUMES, ALTERATIONS, MEALS, TRANSPORTATION, COMPETITION FEES, CHOREOGRAPHERS, MUSICIANS, MUSIC LICENSING FEES, VIDEOGRAPHY, AND MISCELLANEOUS ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS.2023-2024OUR STUDENTS STARTED THE SCHOOL YEAR OFF BY PERFORMING AT THE ANNUAL SEAL BEACH ARTS FESTIVAL AS WELL AS WITH THEIR FALL MUSICAL: "DESCENDANTS". OUR CHOIRS PERFORMED AT THE LOS ALAMITOS WINTER WONDERLAND FESTIVAL WITH OUR ACAPELLA CHOIR PERFORMING AT 3 OTHER HOLIDAY EVENTS IN DECEMBER. OUR STUDENTS PERFORMED TO NEARLY SOLD OUT AUDIENCES IN THEIR SECOND PERFORMANCE OF THE SCHOOL YEAR: "RED CARPET CONCERT AND WERE ABLE TO PERFECT THEIR SETS FOR COMPETITION SEASON. OUR ADVANCED GIRLS CHOIR "STUDIO SINGERS AND OUR BOYS CHOIR "SOUL MEN" BOTH PLACED 1ST AND 2ND PLACE IN ALL 3 OF THEIR COMPETITIONS THIS YEAR. WE ENDED THE YEAR BY PERFORMING AT OUR MCAULIFFE ARTS FESTIVAL.
