MARBLE HOUSE PROJECT IS A MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM THAT FOSTERS COLLABORATION AND THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS BY PROVIDING AN ENVIRONMENT FOR ARTISTS ACROSS DISIPLINES TO LIVE AND WORK SIDE BY SIDE. WITH A FOCUS ON CONSERVATION OF NATURAL RESOURCES, INTEGRATION OF SMALL- SCALE ORGANIC FOOD PRODUCTION AND THE ARTS, RESIDENTS SUSTAIN THEIR GROWTH BY CULTIVATING AND PARTICIPATING IN THE SURROUNDING GROUNDS, WORKING ON THEIR ARTISTIC VISION AND FORGING PARTNERSHIPS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.

MARBLE HOUSE PROJECT (MHP)IS A MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM WITH AN OPEN APPLICATION PROCESS. HOSTING ARTISTS FROM THE UNITED STATES AND ABROAD, MHP PROVIDES HOUSING, STUDIO SPACE, STUDIO SUPPORT AND FOOD. 6 ARTIST RESIDENCIES LAST 21 DAYS. ONE RESIDENCY FOR ARTISTS WITH CHILDREN LASTS 17 DAYS AND TWO COLLABORATIVE RESIDENCIES LAST 10 DAYS EACH. NEW WORK IS CREATED IN DANCE, MUSIC COMPOSITION, SCULPTURE, FICTION, NON FICTION, POETRY, PHOTOGRAPHY FILMING, PAINTING AND INSTALLATION. MARBLE HOUSE PROJECT ALSO EDUCATES 50 ARTISTS A YEAR IN SUSTAINABLE PRACTICE. IN 2021 THE FARM PRODUCED OVER 1 TON OF PRODUCE TO HELP MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR RESIDENCY PROGRAMS AND OUR COMMUNITY EVENTS. OVER 40 KINDS OF VEGETABLES AND HERBS ARE GROWN AND CHICKENS PROVIDED FRESH EGGS. THE FARM IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND WAS A CRITICAL COMPONENT TO BOTH OUR CULINARY RESIDENCIES AND OUR ENVIRONMENTAL WORKSHOPS. MHP HOSTS COMMUNITY EVENTS IN THE AREA OF ARTS, SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND EDUCATION. IN 2021, MHP HELD FIVE WEEKEND EVENTS IN MUSIC, DANCE, LITERATURE AND THE VISUAL ARTS. IN ADDITION MHP VIDEOED TEN MINUTE PERSONAL INTERVIEWES WITH THIRTY FIVE ARTIST RESIDENTS WHICH ARE AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE. MHP ALSO HAD TWO WORKSHOPS DURING THE YEAR.
