MARBLE HOUSE PROJECT IS A MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM THAT FOSTERS COLLABORATION AND THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS BY PROVIDING AN ENVIRONMENT FOR ARTISTS ACROSS DISIPLINES TO LIVE AND WORK SIDE BY SIDE. WITH A FOCUS ON CONSERVATION OF NATURAL RESOURCES, INTEGRATION OF SMALL- SCALE ORGANIC FOOD PRODUCTION AND THE ARTS, RESIDENTS SUSTAIN THEIR GROWTH BY CULTIVATING AND PARTICIPATING IN THE SURROUNDING GROUNDS, WORKING ON THEIR ARTISTIC VISION AND FORGING PARTNERSHIPS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.

MARBLE HOUSE PROJECT (MHP)IS A MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM WITH AN OPEN APPLICATION PROCESS. HOSTING ARTISTS FROM THE UNITED STATES AND ABROAD, MHP PROVIDES HOUSING, STUDIO SPACE, STUDIO SUPPORT AND FOOD. MHP HOSTED OVER 50 ARTISTS DURING THE 2022 SEASON PROVIDING STUDIO SPACE, STUDIO SUPPORT, FOOD AND HOUSING FOR THREE WEEKS IN SIX DIFFERENT SESSIONS. ONE SESSION WAS DEVOTED TO PARENT ARTISTS AND THEIR CHILDREN THAT LASTED FOR 14 DAYS. EACH SESSION IS CURATED TO ACHIEVE THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF INTERACTION AND COLLABORATION. MHP HOSTS WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS. IN 2022 MHP SHARED ART MADE BY OUR RESIDENTS WITH OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY THROUGH OUR ARTSEED EVENTS HELD ON THE FINAL SATURDAY OF THE RESIDENCY. MHP ALSO HELD A WORKSHOP IN THE HEALING ARTS, HOSTED A NUMBER OF PRIVATE GARDEN TOURS AND VIDEO TAPED 40 ARTIST INTERVIEWS WITH OUR RESIDENTS. MHP EDUCATED OVER 50 ARTISTS IN SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE. IN 2022 THE FARM PRODUCED OVER ONE TON OF PRODUCE TO HELP MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR RESIDENCY PROGRAM. OVER 30 KINDS OF VEGETABLES AND HERBS WERE GROWN AND RESIDENTS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLANT, HARVEST AND LEARN ABOUT SPECIFIC GROWING PRACTICES.
