ADDITIONALLY, GIFF HARNESSES THE POWER OF FILM TO SERVE THE GREATER GOOD BY HIGHLIGHTING IMPORTANT ISSUES THAT RELATE TO BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS, EDUCATION, THE ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH CARE.WITHIN THE PAST FISCAL YEAR:A. GIFF SUPPORTED FILMMAKERS WITH PUBLICITY AND CASH AWARDS, GIVING OUT $10,000 IN CASH PRIZES FOR THE BEST SOCIAL IMPACT FILM AWARD TO MATTHEW HEINEMAN, DIRECTOR OF, "THE FIRST WAVE", WHICH WAS SELECTED BY GIFF'S JURY.B. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE THE SOCIAL IMPACT FILM SERIES, THE JEWISH FILM SERIES, HIVE, TO OLIVIA, THE DISRUPTORS, THE FIRST WAVE, BAD ROADS, MASS AND MANY OTHERS. ADDITIONALLY, GIFF SUPPORTS FILMMAKERS BY OFFERING THE BEST SOCIAL IMPACT FILM AWARD WHICH CAME WITH A $10,000 CASH PRIZE THAT WAS AWARDED TO MATTHEW HEINEMAN DIRECTOR OF "THE FIRST WAVE".B. GIFF CHANGEMAKER GALA - GIFF HONORS ARTISTS WHO USE THEIR VOICE WITH CHANGEMAKER AWARDS EACH YEAR.
