IN PERSON CAMP DALLAS FORT WORTH ARRANGED A 1 WEEK RESIDENTIAL SUMMER CAMP WHERE GIRLS WERE FIRST INTRODUCED TO THE 5 KARAT GEMS CURRICULUM FRAMEWORK. IMAGINE GIRLS FULLY ENGAGED, CONFIDENT, AND FINALLY HAVING FUN WHILE MAKING FRIENDS IN AN INTERACTIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT GEMS ENGAGE DAILY IN STEM LEARNING AND CONFIDENCE BUILDING ACTIVITIES THROUGH THE 5 KARAT CURRICULUM. TO DATE, THE GEMS CAMP HAS SERVED ROUGHLY 500 GIRLS, EXPOSING THEM TO HUNDREDS OF FEMALE STEM PROFESSIONALS REPRESENTING MAJOR CORPORATIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES.
ECAMP THE SUMMER E CAMP EXPERIENCE IS A COLORFUL, PERSONALIZED BLING BOX TO EVERY GEMS FRONT DOOR IN THIS COVID-FRIENDLY EXPERIENCE, GEMS APPLY MATH AND SCIENCE CONCEPTS IN A SAFE AND ENGAGING DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT WITH CERTIFIED TEACHERS, PEER MENTORS, AND CAREER ROLE MODELS VIA MICROSOFT TEAMS. IN DECEMBER 2020, THE GEMS CAMP WAS RECOGNIZED BY THE TEXAS GIRLS COLLABORATIVE PROJECT AS A RECIPIENT OF THE STAND UP FOR STEM MILLION MENTORS WOMEN TX AWARD.
