KIDDIE SCIENCE IS A BROOKLYN BASED NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION AIMED AT PRESENTED ENGAGING, HANDS-ON SCIENCE WORKSHOPS TO YOUNG CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. WE WORK WITH NYC PUBLIC SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, PRIVATE GROUPS, AND MORE. IT IS OUR GOAL TO MAKE SCIENCE ACCESSIBLE TO UNDERSERVED AND LOW-INCOME POPULATIONS IN SCHOOL DISTRICTS THAT LACK PROPER RESOURCES FOR HANDS-ON SCIENCE EXPLORATION. WE WORK WITH AGE 4 AND UP TO MAKE SCIENCE A FUN AND TANGIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR ALL.

DURING 2021, WE ENGAGED THE LOCAL COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING FREE SCIENCE MINI KITS MULTIPLE TIMES PER YEAR WITH RELATED PRINTED AND ONLINE RESOURCES TO CONTINUE ENGAGING YOUNG SCIENTISTS.
WE ENGAGED 180 FAMILIES IN HANDS-ON ONLINE LEARNING VIA ZOOM FOR A VARIATION OF ONE-TIME, FOUR TO SIX-WEEK IMMERSIVE TOPIC EXPLORATION. WE FOCUSED ON EARTH SCIENCE, PHYSICS, PALEONTOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, AND MUCH MORE. ALL NEEDED MATERIALS WERE PROVIDED VIA A SCIENCE KIT, SHIPPED VIA USPS.
ENGAGED WITH FAMILIES ONLINE VIA LIVE AND PRE-RECORDED LESSONS THAT ENGAGED AGE 2 AND UP IN HANDS-ON SCIENCE LEARNING. ALL NEEDED MATERIALS WERE INCLUDED VIA A KIT.
