TO CHANGE HOW MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES WORK TOGETHER BY IMPROVING REAL-TIME INFORMATION FLOW AND BY MAKING TECHNOLOGY FUNCTION SEAMLESSLY IN THE BACKGROUND SO THAT HEALTH SYSTEMS CAN ACHIEVE THE BEST POSSIBLE OUTCOMES FOR THEIR PATIENTS. OUR MEMBERS ARE COMMITTED TO COMPELLING CHANGE AND IMPROVING PATIENT SAFETY CARE QUALITY AND OUTCOMES AND REDUCING CLINICIAN BURDEN AND WASTE INCLUDING SUPPORT FOR CARE EXTENDING INTO THE HOME.

THE CENTER FOR MEDICAL INTEROPERABILITY HAS ESTABLISHED A CENTRALIZED LABORATORY TASKED WITH SERVICING AS A NEUTRAL ENVIRONMENT FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS TO IDENTIFY TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS TO THE CHALLENGES ASSOCIATED WITH THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF MEDICAL INTEROPERABILITY. THE PROGRAM GOAL IS TO ESTABLISH AN INFRASTRUCTURE TO SUPPORT PLUG-AND-PLAY HEALTHCARE INTEROPERABILITY WITH RELIABLE DATA SYSTEMS CONNECTIVITY AND THE APPROPRIATE LEVELS OF MEDICAL GRADE DATA SECURITY THUS ENABLING DATA SYSTEMS TO CONNECT SEAMLESSLY EXCHANGE SECURE DATA AND OFFER CLINICIANS THE ABILITY TO USE THE DATA FOR SAFER AND MORE OPTIMIZED HEALTHCARE.
