"THE MISSION OF SRS EDUCATION IS TO PROVIDE ALL STUDENTS WITH A QUALITY EDUCATION WHICH WILL ENABLE THEM TO COMPETE IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY AND EXERCISE THE RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF CITIZENSHIP".
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
THE PAST YEAR SRS HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN SAFELY KEEPING IT'S DOORS OPEN AMID THE COVID19 PANDEMIC. WE FELT IT IMPORTANT TO OUR STUDENTS, WHO ENROLL INTO OUR FACILITY DUE TO POOR BEHAVIOR, DRUG ADDICTIONS, TRUANCY AND SEVERAL OTHER ISSUES THAT ARE IMPEDING THEIR ABILITY TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN SCHOOL OR HOME LIFE. WE TAKE ON THESE STUDENTS AND PROVIDE MEANS FOR THEM TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL. WE OFFER EXCEPTIONAL SCHOOLING AND CREDIT RECOVERY PROGRAMS THAT GET STUDENTS BACK ON TRACK TOWARDS GRADUATION. CURRENTLY 87% OF STUDENTS ENROLLED ARE BEHIND IN SCHOOL AND LOOKING AT A GED AS THEIR ONLY OPTION. AFTER STUDENTS COMPLETE OUR PROGRAM 95% OF THEM ARE BACK ON TRACK NOT ONLY EDUCATIONALLY BUT SOCIALLY. THEY SEE THE VALUE OF AN EDUCATION AND ARE MOTIVATED TO FINISH HIGH SCHOOL AND ATTEND COLLEGE. STATISTICALLY OVER THE PAST YEARS 91% OF STUDENTS WHO HAVE GRADUATED OUR PROGRAM HAVE GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL. THIS IS ASTOUNDING RESULTS WHEN WE LOOK AT THE FACT THAT SO FEW WERE ON THIS PATH TO BEGIN. WE HAVE FOUND GREAT PRIDE IN KNOWING THAT WE ARE POSITIVELY INFLUENCING SO MANY YOUTH TO OVERCOME THEIR OBSTACLES AND BE A PRODUCTIVE CITIZEN OF WHICH THEY CAN BE PROUD.
