THE MILE HIGH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION (DBA LADY ROUGHRIDERS) IS A COOPERATIVE GIRLS HOCKEY ORGANIZATION FORMED BY ARVADA HOCKEY ASSOCIATION, BOULDER HOCKEY CLUB, HYLAND HILLS HOCKEY ASSOCIATION AND NORTHERN COLORADO YOUTH HOCKEY. TOGETHER, THEY PROVIDED A CHALLENGING, FUN, SAFE, AND RESPECTFUL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR 100 GIRLS TO PLAY BOTH RECREATIONAL AND COMPETITIVE HOCKEY ON THE U10, U12, U14, U16 AND U18 LEVELS AT THE RECREATION AND TIER LEVELS. THESE TEAMS COMPETE ON A LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL.
THE LADY ROUGHRIDERS "U8 AND LEARN TO SKATE" PROGRAM IS OPEN TO ALL GIRLS UNDER 8 (AGES 5-8) OR GIRLS OF ANY AGE (5-19) WHO HAVE NO PRIOR HOCKEY EXPERIENCE AND WANT TO LEARN THE GREAT GAME OF ICE HOCKEY. LADY ROUGHRIDERS ALSO OFFERED CAMPS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO EXPERIENCED PLAYERS. OVER 150 PLAYERS ENGAGED IN THE "U8 AND LEARN TO SKATE" PROGRAM AND CAMPS FROM THE COMMUNITY.
