THROUGHOUT 2022 JUSTICEAID PROMOTED AWARENESS ABOUT LGBTQ RIGHTS AND RAISED MONEY FOR OUR GRANTEE PARTNER, SMYAL. JUSTICEAID FULFILLED ITS MISSION BY GRANTING $500,000 TO SMYAL DURING 2022. IN MAY 2022, JUSTICEAID PRODUCED A UNIQUE LIVE CONCERT HOSTED BY EMMY AWARD WINNER MARK RUFFIN, FEATURING CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS PERFORMING A TRIBUTE TO BESSIE SMITH, EMPRESS OF THE BLUES AND JUSTICEAIDS FALL MUSIC CONCERT IN WASHINGTON, DC, WAS, AN EVENING WITH KANDACE SPRINGS. BOTH CONCERTS INCLUDED PERFORMANCES BY SPOKEN-WORD ARTIST, PAINE THE POET. IN OCTOBER, JUSTICEAID HOSTED A FREE PUBLIC FORUM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE RIVERSIDE CHURCH OF NEW YORK, ERASURE: THE OTHERIZATION OF QUEERNESS, FEATURING PANELISTS WHO SHARED THEIR PERSONAL STORIES OVERCOMING DISCRIMINATION AGAINST LGBTQ PERSONS.100% OF TICKET SALES AND SPONSORSHIPS FROM BOTH MUSIC CONCERTS PROVIDED UNRESTRICTED FUNDS FOR JUSTICEAIDS 2022 GRANTEE PARTNER.
