IN 2021 JUSTICEAID HOSTED VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT OUR 2021 CAUSE: FIGHTING RACIST POLICING. IN MAY 2021 JUSTICEAID PRODUCED A VIRTUAL PROGRAM, SAFETY FOR WHOM: RACIST POLICING IN COMMUNITIES AND SCHOOLS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE RIVERSIDE CHURCH OF NEW YORK AND A VIRTUAL CONCERT FEATURING THE MUSICIAN, ROBERT GLASPER. IN OCTOBER JUSTICEAID HOSTED AN AUTHOR TALK TO DISCUSS THE NEW PUBLICATION, RAGE OF INNOCENCE: HOW AMERICA CRIMINALIZES BLACK YOUTH AND A LIVE CONCERT FEATURING MUSIC AND CIVIL RIGHTS ICON, MAVIS STAPLES. ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE CONCERT SUPPORTED THE EXPANSION OF THE POLICE ACCOUNTABILITY/COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM OF NEIGHBORHOOD DEFENDER SERVICE. A CIRCLE OF LOYAL DONORS COVERS ALL OPERATING COSTS AND PROGRAM EXPENSES SO THAT 100% OF OTHER DONATIONS SUPPORTS OUR GRANTEE PARTNERS WORK.
