SHELTER ANIMALS COUNT PURSUED ITS MISSION OF DATA COLLECTION AND PRESENTATION IN 2020, INCLUDING DEVELOPMENT OF AN UPGRADED AND IMPROVED WEBSITE FOR DATA COLLECTION AND PRESENTATION TO BE LAUNCHED IN 2021. THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF ORGANIZATIONS WERE ENGAGED WITH SAC 3460 PRIVATE RESCUES, 1065 PRIVATE SHELTERS, 675 GOVERNMENT ENTITIES, 512 CONTRACT SHELTERS, AND 48 CONTRACT RESCUES. THERE WAS A TOTAL OF 5,828 ORGANIZATIONS OF WHICH 3,508 WERE RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS 60, 1,577 WERE SHELTERS 27 AND 743 WERE UNSPECIFIED 13. MEMBERS WHO SUBMITTED 12 CONSECUTIVE MONTHS OF DATA BY END OF QUARTER TOTALED 1,850. THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 WAS SUBSTANTIAL.
