Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
WE RECEIVED A GRANT FROM HEALTHY WEST ORANGE TO INSTALL A FARM-TO-TABLE SCHOOL CAFETERIA AT HOPE CHARTER SCHOOL AND LEGACY HIGH SCHOOL, WHICH WILL GROW FOOD TO FEED THE KIDS AT THE SCHOOL. THE GOAL IS TO ACCOMPLISH 2 MAIN PURPOSES: 1)HELP SCHOOLS AFFORD NUTRITIOUS PRODUCE BECAUSE NUTRITION PLAYS A HUGE ROLE IN HOW OUR BRAINS AND BODIES FUNCTION 2)HAVING THE FARM ON SCHOOL PROPERTY INCREASES THE LIKELIHOOD THAT THE KIDS WILL ACTUALLY EAT THEIR VEGETABLES BECAUSE THEY GET TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GROWING PROCESS AND THE FARM IS AN INCREDIBLE STEM LEARNING LABORATORY WHERE THE KIDS CAN LEARN BORING TEXT BOOK CONCEPTS IN AN IMMERSIVE EXCITING ENVIRONMENT. WE ARE STILL WORKING ON THIS PROJECT IN 2021, WHICH IS WHY THE FULL GRANT HASN'T BEEN SPENT YET
