GROUP PLAN COMMISSION (GPC) IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION FACILITATING COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS BETWEEN THE CITY OF CLEVELAND, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND KEY CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS. THE ORGANIZATION PROGRAMS, OPERATES AND MAINTAINS PUBLIC SQUARE AND MAINTAINS THE MALL, ALL IN THE CITY OF CLEVELAND. THIS WORK WILL HAVE A DRAMATIC IMPACT ON CLEVELAND BY STIMULATING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVING THE DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE OF BOTH RESIDENTS AND VISITORS.

PROGRAMMING AND MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC SQUARE IN THE CITY OF CLEVELAND: PUBLIC SQUARE IN DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH IS A SIX ACRE URBAN PARK THAT IS BEING PROGRAMMED REGULARLY WITH MORE THAN 200 EVENTS PER YEAR TO CREATE A SENSE OF NEIGHBORHOOD, IMPACT DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AND CREATE A SAFER COMMUNITY. CONCERTS, FESTIVALS, ICE SKATING, YOGA, PUBLIC ART AND KIDS ACTIVITIES ARE JUST A FEW OF THE PROGRAMS. THE GROUP PLAN COMMISSION ENSURES THAT THE SPACE IS READILY USABLE THROUGH MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ACTIVITIES.


MANAGEMENT AND GENERAL. SINCE THE RENOVATION OF PUBLIC SQUARE, THE PARK IS BEING USED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR A WIDE RANGE OF PROGRAMS AND EVENTS. THE WORK OF THE GROUP PLAN COMMISSION IS TO CONTINUALLY ACTIVATE THIS NEIGHBORHOOD SPACE THROUGH UNIQUE PROGRAMMING AND SPECIAL EVENTS AND EXPERIENCES INCLUDES ALL GENERAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS.
