THE FOUNDATION AWARDED A GRANT TO INDIANA PHILANTHROPY ALLIANCE TO ADMINISTER THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION INTERNSHIPS PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES INDIANA COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONS, PARTICIPATING IN THE GIFT PROGRAM, GRANT DOLLARS TO HIRE COLLEGE STUDENTS ATTENDING AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY IN INDIANA. THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONS WHILE PROVIDING REAL-LIFE WORK EXPERIENCES FOR THE INTERNS. THE INTERNS' EXPERIENCES ENRICHES THEIR EDUCATIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT IN ADDITION TO INCREASING THEIR AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANT ROLES COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AND PHILANTHROPY PLAY IN A COMMUNITY'S QUALITY OF LIFE.
