IN 2023 THE WAUNAKEE ECUMENICAL BOARD INC PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO 33 UNDERPRIVILEGED HOUSEHOLDS IN THE WAUNAKEE AREA FOR SUCH THINGS AS RENT, UTILITIES, NECESSITIES, AND GAS ASSISTANCE. HOLIDAY PROGRAMS PROVIDE CHRISTMAS GIFTS AT CHRISTMAS TO 394 UNDERPRIVILEGED INDIVIDUALS. THE BACK TO SCHOOL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM HELPS APPROXIMATELY 342 CHILDREN BY HELPING THEIR FAMILIES WITH PURCHASING SCHOOL SUPPLIES. 5,588 INDIVIDUALS IN 1,802 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED FOOD ASSISTANCE IN 2023.
