THE VIENNA JAMMERS' MISSION IS TO EDUCATE YOUTH THROUGH UNIQUE PERCUSSION PROGRAMS, PROVIDE A DYNAMIC AND DIVERSE EXPERIENCE IN THE PERFORMING ARTS, NURTURE THE CREATIVITY OF EACH CHILD, AND ENRICH THE LIVES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. REHEARSALS RETURNED TO FULL WITH MASKING AND DAILY DEEP CLEANING PRACTICES IMPLEMENTED FOR STUDENT SAFETY.

EDUCATION: JAMMERS CAMPS & ENSEMBLE REHEARSALS: THE JAMMERS PROVIDED TWO WEEKS OF INSTRUCTIONAL SUMMER EXPERIENCE CAMPS OPEN TO ANY STUDENT IN THE SURROUNDING GEOGRAPHIC AREA OF VIENNA. THE JAMMERS ALSO HELD WEEKLY REHEARSALS FOR SEVEN PERMANENT PERCUSSION ENSEMBLES: JAMMERS BLACK, RED, GREEN, WHITE, STEEL, ADVANCED STEEL, AND PLATINUM. JAMMERS HELD MONTHLY REHEARSALS FOR AN ADULT GROUP (JAMMERS GOLD).
PUBLIC PERFORMANCES: DURING THE SEASON, THE JAMMERS PERFORMED SEVERAL PRO BONO PERFORMANCES FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDED PERFORMING AT THE HALLOWEEN PARADE ON THE BACK OF A FLATBED TRAILER FOR OVER 10,000 LOCAL COMMUNITY MEMBERS. JAMMERS RED AND BLACK ALSO TRAVELED TO WASHINGTON D.C. TO PERFORM AT UNION STAGE ON THE WHARF TO A SOLD-OUT AUDIENCE, WHICH RESULTED IN AN INVITE BACK TO PERFORM NEXT YEAR. JAMMERS STEEL AND ADVANCED STEEL PERFORMED FOR THE TOWN OF VIENNA'S VOLUNTEER RECEPTION HOSTED BY THE MAYOR. ALL GROUPS FINISHED OFF THEIR PUBLIC PERFORMANCE BY PERFORMING AT VIVA VIENNA ON MEMORIAL DAY TO AN ESTIMATED AUDIENCE OF 250.
THE BIG JAM: THE LARGEST EVENT FOR THE SEASON, THE BIG JAM RESUMED AFTER A YEAR OFF. VIENNA JAMMERS APPLIED FOR AND WAS ACCEPTED TO BE ONE OF THE 30 NON-PROFIT PERFORMING ARTS GROUPS IN FAIRFAX COUNTY TO BE ABLE TO PERFORM AT THE NEWEST THEATER IN THE TYSONS AREA: CAPITAL ONE HALL. THIS 1500 SEAT AUDITORIUM IS OUTFITTED FOR PROFESSIONAL TOURING GROUPS AND PARTNERED WITH ARTSFAIRFAX TO ALLOW A SELECT NUMBER OF NON-PROFITS TO PERFORM AT A DISCOUNTED RATE. IN ADDITION TO PERFORMING THE BIG JAM AT CAPITAL ONE HALL, THE JAMMERS ALSO FEATURED DJ ENFERNO AS THE GUEST ARTIST FOR THE BIG JAM. DJ ENFERNO'S MAIN CREDITS INCLUDE BEING THE DJ FOR MADONNA ON TOUR AND MORE RECENTLY RUNNING A BRICK AND MORTAR BUSINESS IN HERNDON TEACHING CHILDREN AND ADULTS HOW TO DJ AND PRODUCE SONGS AMONG MANY OTHER CREDENTIALS AND ACCOLADES. THE PERFORMANCE WAS SUCCESSFUL, WITH OVER 800 TICKETS SOLD, AND JAMMERS TECH/ADVANCED TECH STUDENTS WERE ABLE TO WORK ALONGSIDE PROFESSIONAL COUNTERPARTS.
