Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
DUE TO THE GROWING EFFECTS OF COVID-19 IN BOTH TANZANIA AND ZAMBIA, FUNZELEO COULD NOT IMPLEMENT TEACHER TRAINING OR IN-CLASS PROGRAMS IN 2021. BEFORE COVID RESURGENCE, FUNZELEO HAD TRAINED OVER 200 TEACHERS WHO WERE SERVING NEARLY 12,000 STUDENTS A YEAR. NEVERTHELESS, WE MADE IT A PRIORITY TO SUPPORT OUR OPERATIONAL STAFF WHO WERE VITAL IN SUSTAINING RELATIONSHIPS IN THE COUNTRY AND DEVELOP NEW ONES. ALSO, DURING THE SECOND HALF OF 2021, WE DEPLOYED VOLUNTEERS FROM LOCAL COMPANIES TO CONTINUE INSPIRING STUDENTS IN THE CLASSROOM AND AT YOUTH CENTERS. ANOTHER DEVELOPMENT IN 2021 WAS OUR SUCCESS IN SOLIDIFYING PARTNERSHIPS WITH FAWE AND MCUS IN TANZANIA AND ZAMBIA, RESPECTIVELY. THE FORUM FOR AFRICAN WOMEN EDUCATIONALISTS (FAWE) IS A PAN-AFRICAN NONPROFIT WITH THE MISSION TO ADVOCATE FOR TRANSFORMATION OF EDUCATIONAL POLICIES AND PRACTICES AND TO PROMOTE GENDER EQUITY AND EQUALITY IN EDUCATION ACROSS THE CONTINENT. MISS CURVY ULTIMATE SERVICES (MCUS) IS A ZAMBIAN NONPROFIT COMMITTED TO MENTORING K-12 STUDENTS ON MATH AND SCIENCE. THIS ORGANIZATION IS HELPING STRENGTHEN FUNZELEO'S CAPACITY TO SERVE MORE STUDENTS AND TEACHERS IN LUSAKA AND AROUND ZAMBIA FURTHERMORE, IN TANZANIA, WE INTRODUCED GOFBLA, WHICH IS A PART OF THE NATIONAL FBLA IN THE US. FBLA OR FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA IS THE LARGEST STUDENT-LED, BUSINESS-FOCUSED NONPROFIT WITH OVER A QUARTER MILLION MEMBERS IN THE US AND OVERSEAS. GOFBLA BROUGHT COMPETITIVE EVENTS TO TANZANIA. THOSE EVENTS WERE ORGANIZED AROUND BUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP, INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY, AND YOUTH LEADERSHIP. THE MISSIONS OF THESE PARTNERS ALIGN WITH FUNZELEO'S AT DIFFERENT LEVELS: 1. THEY ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT INSPIRING EDUCATORS AND STUDENTS FOR BETTER FUTURES. 2. THEY HAVE AN ARRAY OF CHANNELS FOR DELIVERING PROGRAMS IN SCHOOL, YOUTH CLUBS, AND COMMUNITY CENTERS, AND FOR ENGAGING ADULT MENTORS TO SUPPORT STUDENT LEARNING AND CAREER CHOICES. 3. THEY ARE FLEXIBLE AND HAVE PROVENT RESILIENT TOWARD CHANGING EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND GOVERNMENT POLICIES. THROUGH THESE PARTNERSHIPS, FUNZELEO WAS ABLE TO REMAIN ACTIVE IN SERVING TANZANIAN AND ZAMBIAN TEACHERS AND STUDENTS AT THE TIME WHEN IT WAS DIFFICULT TO BRING TEACHERS, STUDENTS, AND COMMUNITIES TOGETHER. THANK YOU ALL
