TO CONNECT CHURCHES TO SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH MENTORING 4TH GRADERS IN LEADERSHIP.

STAFF OF TEXAS ACADEMY 4 PROVIDE THE PROGRAM SERVICES ON EACH SCHOOL CAMPUS, DURING THE SCHOOL DAY ON A MONTHLY BASIS. 1,016 FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS WERE SERVED AS WERE ANOTHER 580 FIFTH GRADERS THROUGH THE ORGANIZATION'S LEADERS 5 PROGRAM THAT REINFORCES WHAT WAS LEARNED IN THE 4TH GRADE YEAR. OVERALL, 1,596 STUDENTS WERE SERVED. PROGRAM ACTIVITIES WERE REDIRECTED, DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. WE REDESIGNED THE WHOLE PROGRAM TO BE SAFELY DELIVERED VIA ZOOM FOR THE 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR. IN 2020, THE ORGANIZATION MOVED AHEAD WITH EXPANSION PLANS ADDING THREE SCHOOLS. IN 2021, WE IDENTIFIED TEN NEW SCHOOLS FOR EXPANSION IN THE 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR. LONG TERM, THE ORGANIZATION HAS PLANS TO CONTINUE ITS EXPANSION INTO ADDITIONAL URBAN SCHOOLS IN DALLAS AND FORT WORTH AND SURROUNDING AREAS, AUSTIN, AND BEYOND. TEXAS ACADEMY 4 RECEIVES DONATED SERVICES, MATERIALS, AND FACILITIES WHICH ARE SIGNIFICANT TO THE OPERATION OF THIS PROGRAM SERVICE. ALL ACCOUNTING AND BOOKKEEPING IS PROVIDED WITHOUT CHARGE TOTALING AT LEAST $10,000 TO $15,000 IN DONATED SERVICES EACH YEAR. ADDITIONALLY, A CHURCH PROVIDES A BUILDING AND APPLICABLE UTILITIES FOR USE BY THE ORGANIZATION IN MEETING AND ADMINISTRATION. THE ESTIMATED ANNUAL FAIR RENTAL VALUE OF THE DONATED SERVICES IS $10,000.
