THE PURPOSE OF THE SANTA BARBARA PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION (THE FOUNDATION) IS TO BRING TOGETHER PERSONS INTERESTED IN STIMULATING PUBLIC SUPPORT, UNDERSTANDING AND USE OF THE CITY OF SANTA BARBARA PUBLIC LIBRARY (CENTRAL AND EASTSIDE LIBRARIES) (THE LIBRARY); TO ENCOURAGE AND RECEIVE GIFTS, ENDOWMENTS AND BEQUESTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LIBRARY; AND TO SUPPORT ANDCOOPERATE WITH THE LIBRARY'S REPRESENTATIVES IN DEVELOPING SERVICES ANDPROGRAMS FOR THE LIBRARY. THE CURRENT PROJECTS ARE: 1) LIBRARY PLAZA 2) A TEEN CENTER 3)EXTERIOR ENHACEMENTS 4) SECOND FLOOR PATIO 5) CHILDREN'S LIBRARY ENDOWMENT.
