PROVIDED INTERPRETATION ON THE LAND, DAKOTA INDIAN PEOPLE AND FRENCH MAPMAKER JOSEPH N NICOLLET TO STUDENTS AND VISTORS AT THE NICOLETT TOWER AND INTERPRETIVE CENTER. MORE THAN 8,000 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE SITE IN 2018. THE EMIGRATION EXPERIENCE FROM SCANDINAVIA AND THE HISTORY OF IMMIGRATION TO THE LOCAL GEOGRAPHICAL AREA WAS PROVIDED TO STUDENTS AND VISITORS TO THE HISTORIC STAVIG HOUSE MUSEUM. TOURS OF THE HOME AND AREA WERE PROVIDED. "THE STAVIG LETTERS" DRAMATIC READERS THEATER PERFORMANCE WAS MADE AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC GROUPS. A DOCUMENTARY OF "THE STAVIG LETTERS" WON AN EMMY AWARD FOR "HISTORICAL TELEVISION DOCUMENTARY".
