WE ARE A MUSEUM INTERPRETING THE VIKING SHIP HJEMKOMST THAT SAILED TO NORWAY IN 1982 AND THE HOPPERSTAD STAVE CHURCH AS PERMANENT EXHIBITS. WE ALSO OFFER QUARTERLY CHANGING TRAVELING EXHIBITS OF INTEREST TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AND WE RESEARCH AND INSTALL A CLAY COUNTY (MN) EXHIBIT EVERY TWO YEARS. WE PRODUCE ONE MULTI-CULTURAL FESTIVAL A YEAR AND PROVIDE HISTORY AND CULTURAL PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. WE ALSO PRESERVE OVER 12,000 HISTORICAL ARTIFICATS AND ARCHIVAL MATERIALS FOCUSED ON CLAY COUNTY. THE ARCHIVES ARE OPEN AND FREE TO THE PUBLIC ALL YEAR LONG FOR RESEARCH.
