WE HAVE 223 RENTAL APARTMENTS IN FOUR CONNECTED BUILDINGS THAT ALLOW ELDERLY RESIDENTS TO ENJOY INDEPENDENT LIVING WHILE BENEFITING FROM THE AVAILABLE ON-SITE SERVICES AND FRIENDLY NEIGHBORS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SERVICES TO THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED IN A COST EFFECTIVE, DIGNIFIED MANNER WHICH PROMOTES GROWTH AND ASSISTS PEOPLE IN REMAINING INDEPENDENT AND HEALTHY. WITH THE ON-SET OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN THIS REGION OF THE COUNTRY MID-MARCH 2020, PROGRAMS AND SERVICES WERE MODIFIED TO ENSURE MAXIMUM SAFETY FOR OUR RESIDENTS AND MODIFICATIONS CONTINUED THROUGH 2021. FROM JAN - MAR, 2 EDUCATIONAL EVENTS WERE BROADCAST VIA OUR IN-HOUSE TV CHANNEL ONLY; BEGINNING IN APRIL IN PERSON EDUCATION EVENTS WERE HELD ALONG WITH BROADCASTING TO OUR IN-HOUSE CHANNEL; 6 SUCH EVENTS TOOK PLACE WITH 90 PARTICIPANTS. 15 SOCIAL EVENTS WITH 836 PARTICIPANTS, 24 SPIRITUAL EVENTS WITH 480 PARTICIPANTS AS WELL AS 12 VIRTUAL WEEKLY CHAPEL EVENTS, THEN 40 WEEKLY VIRTUAL AND LIVE CHAPEL EVENTS WITH 840 PARTICIPANTS. SCHEDULED TRANSPORTATION BEGAN AGAIN IN APRIL WITH 64 RIDES WITH 2,560 PARTICIPANTS. ANY IN-PERSON SOCIAL EVENTS THAT WERE OFFERED REQUIRED RESIDENTS BE SOCIAL DISTANCED AND WEARING MASK. WE PROVIDED ASSISTANCE WITH HOME MAINTENANCE, SUCH AS CHANGING LIGHT BULBS, MAKING APPLIANCE AND PLUMBING REPAIRS (EST. AT 1,800 SERVICES PROVIDED). DAILY I'M OK CHECKS CONTINUED FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR; AN ESTIMATED 77,000 COMPLETED.COORDINATED ON-SITE CLINICAL SERVICE UNITS PROVIDED WERE ALSO MODIFIED FOR RESIDENT SAFETY. 12 FOOT CARE (EST. AT 144 ATTENDANCES PER YEAR), 12 BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS (EST. AT 240), 12 MASSAGE THERAPY (EST. AT 144), 1 FLU SHOT CLINIC (ESTIMATED AT 45). 2 CLINICS WERE HOSTED AND COMPLETED BY AN OUTSIDE PHARMACY TO PROVIDE 1ST & 2ND DOSE OF COVID VACCINE TO 60 PARTICIPANTS IN EARLY 2021; THEN A BOOSTER SHOT CLINIC HOSTED IN NOV WITH 39 PARTICIPANTS.96 DAYS BEAUTY SHOP (EST. AT 720), AND NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT OF ONE MEAL PER DAY (260 DAYS WITH 35 PARTICIPANTS DAILY EST. AT 9,100 YEARLY). NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT, INCLUDING COORDINATED ON-SIGHT FREE FOOD GIVE-AWAYS INCREASED DRAMATICALLY; APPROXIMATELY 44 EVENTS THIS YEAR WITH 2,000 ATTENDANCES.
