APPRENTICE LEARNING SERVES OVER 450 YOUTH PER YEAR IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FIVE BOSTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN DORCHESTER, JAMAICA PLAIN, AND ROXBURY. UNIQUE AMONG MIDDLE SCHOOL CAREER PROGRAMS, APPRENTICE LEARNING IS INTEGRATED INTO THE SCHOOL DAY BEGINNING IN THE SEVENTH GRADE, LEADING TO A WORKPLACE-BASED APPRENTICESHIP IN EIGHTH GRADE, AND TO PAID SUMMER AND AFTER-SCHOOL INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AND JOB REFERRALS FOR RISING AND CURRENT NINTH GRADE STUDENTS.
