THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE HIGH-QUALITY YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN THROUGH ACADEMIC, PHYSICAL, ARTISTIC, EMOTIONAL, AND ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIVITIES THAT THEY WILL USE IN YEARS TO COME.

BBHARTS BEGAN AT MATER GARDENS ELEMENTARY IN 2012 AS A PILOT PROGRAM. OVER THE LAST 10 YEARS THE PROGRAM EXPANDED TO MATER LAKES MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL, MOVED TO THEIR LOCATION IN PALM SPRING NORTH SINCE 2015. BBHARTS ALSO OFFERS YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMMING TO STUDENTS AGES 4-12 IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MATER GARDENS ACADEMY, PLUS SUMMER CAMPS AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS WITH OTHER LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS DISTRICT 13. BBHARTS SERVED NEARLY 156 STUDENTS DURING THE 2020-2021 FISCAL YEAR. DURING THIS YEAR, OUR YOUTH HAVE COMPETED IN OVER 4 REGIONAL COMPETITIONS AND 1 NATIONAL WINNING SEVERAL 1ST PLACES. OUR ORGANIZATION ALSO RECEIVED A 500 SHAKERS STUDIO AWARD RECOGNIZING US THE OUTSTANDING ORGANIZATION FOR THE LOVE OF THE ARTS. IN ADDITION WE PRESENTED OUR 8TH MUSICAL THEATER ORIGINAL PRODUCTIONS :QUE PASO 2020 IN THE MIRAMAR CULTURAL THEATER. WE WERE RECOGNIZED BY OUR DISTRICT COMMISSIONER AND GRANTED A 5000 GRANT FOR OUR EXCELLENCE AND CONTRIBUTION TO YOUTH AND OUR UNIQUE MESSAGE OF HOPE TO A COMMUNITY OF OVER 600 PEOPLE. IN THE PAST WE HAVE BEEN FEATURED IN LOCAL NETWORKS SUCH AS TELEMUNDO AND UNIVISION. AS OF THIS YEAR 90% OF OUR STAFF IS CONFORMED BY FORMER STUDENTS THAT HAVE IMPROVED ARTISTICALLY, ACADEMICALLY, SCHOOL ATTENDANCE AND IN LIFE SKILLS - EVIDENCE OF CHANGE TAKING PLACE WITHIN OUR YOUTH AND THEIR ABILITY TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL.
