HENRICO TOO SMART 2 START COALITION IS A 501 (C) 3 NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT PROMOTES HEALTH AND WELLNESS IN HENRICO COUNTY WITH A PRIMARY FOCUS ON REDUCING YOUTH SUBSTANCE ABUSE THROUGH EDUCATION, ADVOCACY AND CAPACITY BUILDING.

HENRICO TOO SMART 2 START COALITION PROVIDED FACE MASKS WITH POSITIVE MESSAGING ON THEM TO HENRICO COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS, HENRICO MENTAL HEALTH, AND VARIOUS OTHER YOUTH-SERVING ORGANIZATIONS. THE PURPOSE WAS TO HELP PROTECT YOUTH FROM CONTRACTING COVID-19 AS WELL AS HELP SPREAD MESSAGES THAT PROMOTE SOCIAL HEALTH, MENTAL HEALTH, AND YOUTH SUBSTANCE USE PREVENTION. THE COALITION WAS GIVEN A GRANT BY THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION TO SUPPORT THIS INITIATIVE.
THE COALITION PURCHASED DRIVE-IN MOVIE EQUIPMENT AND PURCHASED MOVIE LICENSES TO HOST MOVIES AS A HEALTHY, SOCIAL EVENT FOR YOUTH OF HENRICO COUNTY. THE COALITION PROVIDED FOOD AND GIFT CARDS AS PRIZES FOR ANSWERING QUESTIONS CORRECT AROUND YOUTH SUBSTANCE USE PREVENTION. VIDEOS ABOUT YOUTH SUBSTANCE USE PREVENTION WAS SHOWN AS PREVIEWS.
