ELEV8 BALTIMORE PROVIDES OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME OPPORTUNITIES AND COORDINATES SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH SERVICES, RESOURCES, SUPPORT AND OUTREACH FOR FAMILIES IN BALTIMORE AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM - ELEV8 PROVIDES A COMPREHENSIVE AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS IN 2ND-8TH GRADE. STUDENTS RECEIVE NUTRITIOUS MEALS (SNACK AND SUPPER), PARTICIPATE IN ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES AND EPXLORE ATHLETIC, ARTS, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ENRICHMENTS. OUR AFTERSHOOL PROGRAM IS AN EVIDENCE-BASED PROGRAM PROVEN TO IMPROVE STUDENTS' SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND ACADEMIC LEARNING. STUDENTS ALSO EARN, ON AVERAGE, 10 HOURS OF SERVCIE LEARNING CREDITS EACH YEAR.


COMMUNITY SCHOOL STRATEGY - ELEV8 BALTIMORE IS A FULL-SERVICE COMMUNITY SCHOOL INITIATIVE THAT USES A SET OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS AND OPPORTUNITIES TO CREATE THE CONDITIONS FOR STUDENT SUCCESS. ELEV8 BALTIMORE BELIEVES THAT IT IS IMPORTANT TO REINFORCE THE LEARNING THAT GOES ON IN CLASSROOMS WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN OUTSIDE OF THE NORMAL SCHOOL SETTING. IN ADDITION, MANY FAMILIES NEED RESOURCES INCLUDING WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, ADULT EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH AND WELLNESS AND BARRIER REMOVAL. ELEV8 IMPLEMENTS THE FOUR PILLARS OF THE COMMUNITY SCHOOL STRATEGY:1) INTEGRATED STUDENT SUPPORTS (WRAPAROUND SUPPORTS)2) EXPANDED LEARNING TIME AND OPPORTUNITIES3) FAMILY AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT4) COLLABORATIVE LEADERSHIP AND PRACTICES - ENSURING THAT ALL STAKEHOLDERS HAVE A VOICE IN THE GOVERNANCE OF THE SCHOOL


SOUTH BALTIMORE ADULT HIGH SCHOOL - THE NEW SOUTH BALTIMROE ADULT HIGH SCHOOL (SBAHS) IN CHERRY HILL GIVES ADULTS 21 AND OVER A FRESH OPPORTUNITY TO FINISH HIGH SCHOOL. CLASSES ARE ONLINE OR IN-PERSON AND THERE IS A COMMUNITY SCHOOL COORDINATOR AVAILABLE TO CONNECT STUDENTS TO OUT OF CLASSROOM SUPPORTS. AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE GED AND NDEP PROGRAMS, STUDENTS START WITH THE CREDITS THEY EARNED IN HIGH SCHOOL AND ARE ABLE TO EARN THE CREDITS THEY NEED TO GRADUATE. AS A PARTNERSHIP WITH BALTIMORE CITY COMMUNITY COLLEGE, GRADUATES HAVE A PATHWAY TO AN ASSOCIATES DEGREE AND/OR A FOUR-YEAR DEGREE.
