EQUITY CDC SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED ACCESSIBILITY MODIFICATIONS AND REHABILITATIONS OF 8 LOW-INCOME, SINGLE-FAMILY, OWNER-OCCUPIED HOMES AS A DIRECT RECIPIENT OF AMY YOUNG BARRIER REMOVAL (AYBR) PROGRAM FUNDING FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS (TDHCA). THE WORK WAS PROVIDED AS A GRANT TO THE HOMEOWNERS AND WAS CONDUCTED IN VAL VERDE, MAVERICK AND WILLIAMSON COUNTIES. THIS PROGRAM SERVICE IS AN ACTIVITY THAT ACCOMPLISHES OUR EXEMPT PURPOSE AND FULFILLS OUR MISSION. EQUITY CDC SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED 8 HOUSING REHABILITATIONS, 1 HOUSING RECONSTRUCTION AND MAINTAINED A TOOL LENDING LIBRARY AND COMPUTER LAB WITH ACCESS TO THE INTERNET FOR LOW-INCOME RESIDENTS OF TEXAS COLONIAS UNDER THE COLONIA SELF-HELP CENTER (SHC) PROGRAM OF THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS (TDHCA). TDHCA AWARDED THE SHC PROGRAM FUNDING, WHICH IS SOURCED FROM CDBG HUD FUNDING, TO VAL VERDE AND MAVERICK COUNTIES, THE DIRECT RECIPIENTS OF THE GRANT FUNDING.
