THE HAWAII LEADERSHIP FORUM IS A SOCIETAL CHANGE ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO ADVANCING LEADERSHIP IN AND FOR HAWAII. WE SEEK TO CULTIVATE THE CONDITIONS IN WHICH HAWAII THRIVES.

OMIDYAR FELLOWS - IN 2021, THE OMIDYAR FELLOWS COHORTS VII AND VIII CONTINUED THEIR CURRICULUM. THE OMIDYAR FELLOWS CURRICULUM AND PROGRAM GALVANIZES TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP ON THE INDIVIDUAL, ORGANIZATIONAL, AND NETWORK LEVELS, USING PROGRAM ELEMENTS THAT INCLUDE EXECUTIVE COACHING, PEER AND COHORT LEARNING, LEADERSHIP CONVERSATIONS, AND AN INDIVIDUAL LEARNING EXCURSION. THE FELLOWS CONTINUE AFTER THE INITIAL 15-MONTH (EXTENDED FOR COHORTS VII AND VIII DUE TO COVID) CURRICULUM AS CHANGE AGENTS IN SERVICE TO ADDRESS THE MOST SIGNIFICANT PROBLEMS FACING HAWAII AS PART OF THE FORUM OF FELLOWS NETWORK.
SYSTEMS SENSING AND IMPACT - FACILITATING SYSTEMS THINKING, MAPPING AND OTHER SYSTEMS PRACTICES TO GAIN CLARITY ON COMPLEX ISSUES, IDENTIFY LEVERAGE POINTS FOR SYSTEMS CHANGE, INFORM STRATEGIC INTENT, CREATE LEARNING AND ADAPTION PLANS, AND EXPAND COLLABORATIVE OPPORTUNITIES.
LIVE ALOHA IS A GRASSROOTS PROGRAM STARTED IN 1993 THAT BELIEVES IN THE POWER OF COLLECTIVE INDIVIDUAL BEHAVIORS TO BUILD A STRONG AND RESPECTFUL SOCIETY. IT IS CENTERED AROUND A LIST OF EVERYDAY ACTIONS THAT ANYONE CAN DO AND INCLUDES BUMPER STICKERS AND DECALS WITH THE ICONIC "LIVE ALOHA" GRAPHIC. IN 2021, THIS CAMPAIGN WAS DIGITIZED FOR THE 21ST CENTURY, WITH A NEW WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE TO BRING THE PROGRAM BACK TO HAWAI'I AND AUDIENCES WORLDWIDE.
HAWAII DATA COLLABORATIVE (HDC) (FKA WELL-BEING DATA PROJECT) - ADAPTING THE LEGATUM PROSPERITY MODEL OF INCOME AND WELL-BEING TO PRODUCE LOCAL RIGOROUS SOCIETAL LEVEL DATA AND TRENDS TO PROVIDE A WELL-RESEARCHED UNDERSTANDING AND ARTICULATION OF THE CURRENT STATE OF PROSPERITY IN HAWAII WITH BASELINE METRICS FOR A LONGITUDINAL STUDY. HDC IS WORKING TO PROMOTE A CULTURE OF DATA-DRIVEN DECISION MAKING IN HAWAII BY MAKING DATA FOR SOLVING OUR PRESSING CHALLENGES MORE ACCESSIBLE, RELEVANT, AND MEANINGFUL. HDC BECAME ITS OWN NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION AND TRANSITIONED OUT OF HAWAII LEADERSHIP FORUM IN 2021.
