THE MISSION OF THE FESTIVAL, AN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE CONTINUOUS ECONOMIC IMPROVEMENT AND ADVANCEMENT OF OLD TOWN ROCK HILL, IS TO ORGANIZE AND IMPLEMENT A MULTI-FACETED ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF EVENTS OBSERVING THE CUSTOMS AND CULTURES OF THE CHRISTMAS SEASON. THE FESTIVAL IS INSPIRED BY NATIONALLY ACCLAIMED ILLUSTRATOR AND FORMER ROCK HILL RESIDENT VERNON GRANT AND IS DESIGNED TO CELEBRATE THE ART AND HISTORY OF HIS LIFE AND CAREER. THE FESTIVAL ENOCURAGES ALL RESIDENTS TO INVITE FRIENDS, RELATIVES, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO VISIT ROCK HILL AS A REGIONAL TOURISM DESTINATION, AND IS FURTHER DESINGED TO PROMOTE VOLUNTEERISM AND FELLOWSHIP WITHIN THE COMMUNITIES OF YORK COUNTY.
