HOWLING FOR WOLVES ACTION FUND 2021 ACTIVITIESHFW ORGANIZED AND SUPERVISED THE WOLF DAY EVENT AT THE MINNESOTA STATE CAPITOL ON APRIL 16, 2021. HFW SUPPORTERS WERE ASSISTED IS MEETING WITH THEIR REPRESENTATIVES AND SENATORS TO PRESS FOR PRESERVATION OF WOLVES IN MINNESOTA AND THE ADOPTION OF A COMPLETELY NON-LETHAL MANAGEMENT POLICY.HFW SENT A LETTER TO LEGISLATORS ON MAY 25, 2021 URGING THEM TO REJECT THE MANDATORY WOLF HUNT LANGUAGE FROM A SENATE BILL IN CONFERENCE COMMITTEE NEGOTIATIONS. HFW PROVIDED AMPLE EVIDENCE OF INCREASED ILLEGAL KILLING OF WOLVES IN INSTANCES WHERE SUPPOSED LEGAL KILLING WAS AUTHORIZED.PAID LOBBYING FIRM LOCKRIDGE, GRINDAL AND NAUN TO REPRESENT HOWLING FOR WOLVES AT THE MN STATE CAPITOL TO MONITOR BILLS REGARDING WOLF HUNTING AND TRAPPING AND TO ASSIST WITH ENGAGING SUPPORTERS TO CONTACT THEIR LEGISLATORS. HOWLING FOR WOLVES LOBBYISTS ALSO ADVOCATE FOR FUNDING FOR NONLETHAL PREVENTION METHODS TO AVOID CONFLICTS BETWEEN WOLVES AND LIVESTOCK AT THE STATE CAPITOL.
